I’ve posted quite a bit on my personal Facebook about this place where I can get healthy food at budget-friendly prices. At our current location, there isn’t any Whole Foods, Sprouts, or Trader Joe stores available – which is kind of a bummer since I love stores like those! We have a small natural foods store in town, but the selection is limited and prices are usually a bit high.
So when I discovered Thrive Market, I was absolutely thrilled!! In a nutshell, it’s like Whole Foods married Costco online. I started off with a trial membership, since I wanted to see if it would be worth our money to purchase one. I had been using Amazon Prime to buy some things like coconut oil and collagen powder; but when I saw the prices of items on Thrive Market, my jaw dropped. They offer their products at 25-50% off the retail price!
Another thing I discovered about Thrive Market is that they offer a plethora of healthy food brands (more than 400) and are continuously adding. For example, I just logged on and noticed they are carrying Organic Ginger Cubes, just $4.95 for an 8 oz. pouch!
After my trial period ended, there was no question that I would pay the $60/year membership fee. (This is essentially less than $5/month.) I was hooked and the membership quickly paid for itself with the wholesale prices savings! Even if we had a Whole Foods in town, Thrive Market would still be a much better deal. If that isn’t enough reason to join, Thrive Market is also socially responsible and believes in giving. For every membership that is purchased, they donate a membership to a low-income family. How great is that?? They are doing their part to help those less fortunate live a healthier life – and WE are part of that.
On average, I’ve placed a $49+ order every month since I started using Thrive Market. What are some of my favorite foodstuffs I’ve ordered? Check ‘em out:
Thrive Market offers non-food items as well! This is important because what we put on and around our bodies is just as important as what we put in our bodies. They have natural bath and body products, hair care, feminine products, facial and makeup products, baby care items, and kitchen supplies, to name a few categories. Below are some of my favorite non-food items I’ve ordered:
So now you’re probably thinking: “Okay, they have cheaper prices on their awesome products, but what about shipping?? There’s gotta be a catch.” There’s good news for you: Thrive Market also offers FREE FedEx shipping on orders $49 and up! (And if you have an order less than $49, shipping is about $5. But I’ve never had that problem.) They also occasionally have special promos. In one of my recent shipments, they included a free bottle of Thrive Market’s Organic Coconut Aminos, an $8.99 value that they sell for $5.95. (Coconut aminos are a great substitute for soy sauce!)
It used to be difficult to find trusted food brands, especially at reasonable prices. But Thrive Market has solved that problem for us! They also have made it more convenient, since each order gets delivered right to your door. The website is colorful and wonderfully organized, they also have a free smartphone app. You can do a search for items that fit your lifestyle, like Paleo, gluten-free, vegan, or organic. And of course, all their boxes and packing materials are made from recycled paper. They are just an all-around great company that continues to grow!
Right now, if you sign up for a membership, you will receive 15% off your first order. (Remember, this on top of prices that are already 25-50% off!) In addition, if you share the goodness of Thrive Market with friends, you’ll receive a $25 credit for each friend that joins too. Sharing Thrive Market is as simple as posting a link on Facebook. That’s what I’ve done and it works!
